Meet the Owner's Cats!

At home I have four cats. Their names are Kha'Zix, Lightning McQueen, Kindred, and Cali. They each have their own stories and personalities. I love them with all my heart.

The image above is Kha'Zix. I call him Stinkbug or Stinky. I found him and his sister, Kindred, in the dumpster of my high school freshman year, along with a few other kittens. They were only a few days old. After a LOT of convincing, my dad let me pick two from the litter to take home.

Kha'Zix is very curious and also deceptively big. His tail measures to be 16 in. long. He's very playful and loves to roughhouse.

This is Lightning McQueen. I picked him and his sister, Sally, out of a litter when I was four years old. I have had him all my life. If it wasn't already obvious, I chose those two names at that age as well, as my favorite movie at the time was Cars. I don't know why my dad said yes to that name.

Unfortunately, Sally was very sick. I remember not understanding what was going on and why my dad was up so late trying to feed her and take care of her. Sally died at just a few months old. I don't remember much of my time with her, and I often wonder what her personality would've been like.

Lightning, however, is known for being lazy. He doesn't enjoy much else besides the food bowl and the couch.

This is Kha'Zix's sister, Kindred. She is very clingy. When we first got her as a baby, I would let her sleep on my chest. To this day, that is where she insists on sleeping. I don't think she understands that she isn't the size of my hand anymore.

She has a little white spot on her tummy shaped like a heart and is also partly deaf. It's always obvious when she is able to hear something, as she meows as loud as she can in response to the sound.

And lastly, this is Cali. She is the most affectionate cat I've ever met. She absolutely adores attention and always insists on being by my side. She sleeps with me (which is not as cute as it sounds considering she likes to lay in the center of the bed), she follows me around the house, and she always meows back when I talk to her. As I'm writing this, she is beside my laptop pawing at my hand for attention.

She also sometimes forgets to put her tongue back in her mouth. I'm not sure why.
